GREAT THOUGHTS
 ENGLISH POEMS
My father was starting seeding this end
This end of his farm to that end!
To and fro between the ends till entire day
Driving the oxen in straight till sweat away!

Turning back in fits and starts
He was stopping dead.
With the hand on brow and
Clenching the other fist on plough!
He was cherishing a dream
And chuckling faintly of his own
To see the future harvest
Hidden in the past soil!

For a fun I imitated him
Putting the hand on brow
Tried to clench the empty fist
 And turning back slow!

I stood agape to see my past futile
It was nothing but a mammoth soil
Desert filled with prosaic sand
Sticks and twinges endured everywhere.

I didn’t mind if nothing I could sow
Nothing could reap or nothing in full glow.
But felt like a muzzled bull.

Every shrub saddled a sturdy rope
Around the neck draining every hope
I get then trailed in the dust
And settles there in the past!

Don’t go on my being with you
As a human being I am never alive.

These bushes dog me every moment
These shrubs are persevering me every day.

To celebrate the festival of the universe,
I pray to my father who has passed away
To send me a flicker of vivacity
As he was using while seeding his way!
